As part of our focus on Indigenous marketing and communications, Evolution Business Marketing & Communications recently collaborated with Métis Nation B.C. to support Métis entrepreneurs through a 16-session webinar held from April 13th to June 10th.
These webinars featured speakers from a variety of industries and organizations, including Chris Cathers, Founder and Owner of Evolution Business Marketing & Communications. These webinars provided Métis entrepreneurs with personalized and comprehensive business coaching, including business survival skills, understanding how to raise funding and how to package ones self as an entrepreneur.
Responses from participants in these fully funded webinar series were overwhelmingly positive. 93 per cent of respondents said the course was even better than they had imagined, and all were unanimous in their belief that this webinar series taught them concepts and skills that they could use immediately or soon. Another 85 per cent of respondents rated the presentation skills and knowledge of the speakers, including Chris Cathers, as being excellent. These sentiments were echoed in the written aspect of the post-webinar survey.
“It was thoroughly enjoyable,” writes one respondent. “The presenters were friendly and welcoming to questions and feedback, and having the course separated across several days was extremely helpful.”
Another respondent notes “I was hesitant to sign up since I have been self-employed for many years, but I’m very glad that I did as it taught me new skills and ways of looking at business.”
The same individual continues, stating “What would help me moving forward is training/mentoring or a mastermind group for Metis businesses that have already started. To have that ongoing support would be extremely valuable to my business. Thank you Jay and Chris for all the knowledge you shared with our group, I do hope to work more with you in the future!”
“This was a great course,” adds another respondent. “You were all great and easy to understand. Always willing to answer questions.”
